The inaugural Imagine! Belfast Festival of Ideas & Politics was well & truly launched at Belfast City Hall on 11 February by the Lord Mayor, Nichola Mallon and writer and performer, Nuala McKeever. Involving over 35 events during 9-15 March 2015 in 12 venues across the city, Northern Ireland’s first festival of ideas & politics is supported by 20 partner organisations, many of whom attended the launch event.

Launch of Imagine! Festival 2017
Tim McGarry, comedian, launched the 3rd annual Imagine! Belfast Festival of Ideas & Politics on Thursday 16 February 2017 at NUS-USI, 2nd floor, 42 Dublin Road in Belfast. Introduction was by Peter O’Neill, Festival Director who thanked the sponsors, performers etc. Libby Keys, Building Change Trust, spoke about the importance of public discussion and debate. The seven-day festival features a packed programme of 86 events in 35 venues across the city and is supported by 30 partner organisations.
